Forever Friends Network, established in April 2016 as a non-profit organization, was founded by Regina Starr. Every child wants to be accepted and have a place where they can be themselves without judgement. Forever Friends Network (FFN) is a place where they can go and do just that.
Regina's passion is to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families build friendships of a lifetime. FFN is a free autism resource center supporting families and caregivers in Lapeer County.
FFN is located at 323 Jefferson Street in Lapeer, Michigan (in the old Perkin's building).

“Autistic kids are such extraordinary individuals — there’s always something different that makes them stick out because each child is so unique. These kids are socially inept and they just want to fit in, they pick up things so quickly they are like sponges, we just want to pave the way for them to make connections.” Regina Starr, The County Press 4-03-2016 Regina Starr resides in Lapeer Michigan with her son Brandon, and is supported by her partner of 11 years, Michael. |

donna FoxDonna is the Secretary of Forever Friends Network. Donna takes notes at the meetings, types them and keeps them on file at Forever Friends Network.
Donna’s son Ryan, was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and cognitive delay at the age of 4 years old. Since his diagnosis of autism, he would keep to himself most of the time and stay in his comfort zone. As a parent, it was hard to see my son struggle with friendships and acceptance in the community. Since joining the organization Ryan has flourished socially, and has gained self confidence. "Forever Friends Network is the best thing that could have happened for Ryan and our family. Making friends for a lifetime and acceptance for autism in the community. My passion for the Forever Friends Network makes my heart feel full. Knowing children have a place they can be themselves, in a non-judgmental and safe atmosphere. Parents also have the opportunity to connect with one another for support." Donna Fox Donna resides in Davison with her husband Clinton of 27 years and son Ryan. Donna has worked as a Medical Assistant for the past 30 years. |
